So the bathroom fan was louder than hell and I had to replace it. Since the fan was made some time in the fifties there was no direct replacement. To top it off the housing was the wrong size for any of the replacement fans. So I cut the motor and fan from a cheap replacement and put it in the old housing and then found out the cord was too short. So I cut the cord from the old fan and patched it onto the new cord.
End result – new fan that doesn’t give me a headache. Who knew I was a handyman?
